St. Elizabeth School is currently seeking applicants for the following positions:

Behavior Support Specialist

Immediate, Permanent, Full-Time Position

Responsibilities:

  • Support the management and implementation of St. Elizabeth School’s behavior support services.

  • Document program results, maintain accurate records and other required data, and submit reports in a timely manner.

  • Provide student crisis counseling as well as in-class and transitional behavior support to students with interfering behaviors.

  • Work directly with students to help them achieve behavior goals in accordance with their Behavior Intervention Programs.

  • Perform Functional Behavior Assessments and develop, implement, and monitor Behavior Intervention plans

  • Assist in the development and implementation of Professional Development trainings.

  • Prepare IEP/BIP documentation and participate in IEP Team Meetings.

  • Facilitate communication among school staff and families.

  • Participate in continuing education and professional growth activities to keep current with issues, laws and regulations regarding positive behavior interventions, special education, and other issues related to children with special needs.

Requirements

•    Master’s Degree in psychology, education, or related mental health field required.
•    BCBA Certification preferred.
•    Five years’ experience working with students with special needs.
•    Advanced ability to perform Functional Behavior Assessments and develop, implement, and monitor Behavior Intervention plans
•    Successful completion of a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
•    Valid Maryland driver’s license.

Special Education Keyboarding Teacher

Immediate, Permanent, Full-Time Position

St. Elizabeth School is a nonpublic, special education school serving students grades 1 – 12, ages 6- 21. The School is seeking a Special Education Teacher to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and implement lesson plans to teach students with special needs skills in keyboarding, library media courses, career vocational, and career research and development; as well as supervise paraeducators and students.

Requirements

  • Education:  Bachelor degree acceptable, Master level applicant preferred.

  • Certification:  K-12 Special Educator Certification or eligibility for certification required;

Career and technology education certification a plus.

  • Experience:  Prior experience teaching Keyboarding and Microsoft Office applications preferred; Ability to teach career development classes a plus.

  • Skills:  Must understand the methodology and psychomotor skill development involved with keyboarding for each grade level;  Must be creative, organized, and highly motivated with the ability to work independently as well as with a team.

  • All candidates must pass a criminal background check, pre-employment drug screening, and be willing to drive own or School vehicle for School business.

School Nurse RN

Permanent, Full-Time Position

 

St. Elizabeth School is seeking to hire a registered nurse. St. Elizabeth School is a nonpublic, special education school serving students grades 1 – 12, ages 6- 21. Experience with special needs population a plus.

Responsibilities:

Providing direct services to students including triage, medication administration, medical procedures, care planning, and scheduling screenings. Collaborate with school staff. Maintain comprehensive records and database. Other duties as required

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or higher. RN License; CPR Certification; willingness to drive own vehicle as well as school vehicles for School business or to transport staff and students as necessary; successful completion of a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.

Speech-Language Pathologist

Immediate, Permanent, Full-Time Position

 

St. Elizabeth School is a nonpublic, special education school serving students grades 1 – 12, ages 6- 21. The School is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist to join our dynamic team five days per week.

Responsibilities:

•    Conduct assessments
•    Treatment planning and therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment integrated into

classrooms and other activities as well as by using the pull-out model.
•    Co-treating and co-teaching options available, as well as individual and small group therapy models.
•    Work with a team of SLP’s, special educators, and other related service providers in a positive, collaborative and engaging private, nonpublic school setting.

Requirements

Masters in Speech-Language Pathology, State license, and CCC or CFY. All candidates must pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.

Classroom Assistant (Teaching Assistant)

Immediate, Full Time, Permanent  Position (11-Month)

Responsibilities:

  • May serve as a teaching assistant, program assistant, and/or one-to-one assistant

  • Assist with: classroom preparation, organization and instructiondata collection and record keeping

  • Escort and monitor students during the change of class

  • Behavior management and student support throughout the school day

  • Attend and participate in general staff meetings, weekly team meetings, conferences and in-services.

  • Work with students requiring individual and/or small group attention

  • Work as a team player to create a positive learning atmosphere.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree 

  • Some experience with special populations preferred

  • Successful completion of a drug screening and Criminal Background Check

  • Valid driver’s license with willingness to drive own vehicle or school vehicle for school business.
