St. Elizabeth School is currently seeking applicants for the following positions:

Occupational/Physical Therapist Team Lead

Permanent, Full-Time Position


To administer therapy assessments and on-going therapeutic interventions for students within the scope of practice of an occupational therapist licensed to practice in the State of Maryland.

  • Supervisory:  Provide supervision and support for OT and PT staff, contracted staff and practicum clinicians and/or interns.  Serve as point person for the Team with Program Leads, Principal and Executive Director. 

  • Administrative:  Oversee the documentation of occupational and physical therapy paperwork in accordance with school requirements, IEP goals, and MSDE and MA regulations.  Oversee establishment of IEP goals and objectives. 

  • Consultation:  Consult with staff, teachers, and parents about student’s progress and needs when necessary.   

  • Direct Service:  Provide occupational therapy services to students as specified in their IEP and perform student evaluations when required.  Employ various adaptive techniques, methods and principles to enable students to meet their IEP goals. 


  • Education/Experience:  Master’s degree preferred or Bachelor’s degree with 15 year’s relevant experience working with children in a special education setting.  Progressive experience supervising staff.   Master’s degree in Occupational from a certified school.

  • Licensure:  Maryland Occupational Therapy License from DHMH.  National Registration preferred. 

  • Knowledge, Skills, Ability: 

    • Current knowledge of occupational and physical therapy theory and practice. 

    • Empathy; exceptional oral and written communication skills; Active Listener. 

    • Strong leadership skills in support of St. Elizabeth School’s Strategic Plan and goals. Excellent critical thinking skills. 

    • Creative, organized, and highly motivated. with the ability to work independently as well as within a team.

High School Math Special Educator

Permanent, Full-Time Position, available July 1, 2021


Teach High School Math to students working toward a certificate of completion; Develop and implement academic goals and objectives for students’ Individual Educational Plans (IEPs);  Participate in IEP meetings and manage IEP packets prior to meetings; Select appropriate instructional materials and strategies and plan lessons for both small groups and individual students; Monitor student progress, record grades in quarterly report cards, prepare other written reports as necessary; Supervise two or more teaching assistants and act as case manager five to nine students.  The ideal candidate must be organized and creative in using adaptive strategies to meet the diverse needs of the students.


Must have Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) teacher certificate as a special educator or in the process of obtaining certification.  All candidates must be willing to drive their own vehicle or school vehicle for school purposes as well as pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.

Special Education Keyboarding Teacher

Immediate, Permanent, Full-Time Position

St. Elizabeth School is a nonpublic, special education school serving students grades 1 – 12, ages 6- 21. The School is seeking a Special Education Teacher to join our dynamic team.


Prepare and implement lesson plans to teach students with special needs skills in keyboarding, library media courses, career vocational, and career research and development; as well as supervise paraeducators and students.


  • Education:  Bachelor degree acceptable, Master level applicant preferred.

  • Certification:  K-12 Special Educator Certification or eligibility for certification required;

Career and technology education certification a plus.

  • Experience:  Prior experience teaching Keyboarding and Microsoft Office applications preferred; Ability to teach career development classes a plus.

  • Skills:  Must understand the methodology and psychomotor skill development involved with keyboarding for each grade level;  Must be creative, organized, and highly motivated with the ability to work independently as well as with a team.

  • All candidates must pass a criminal background check, pre-employment drug screening, and be willing to drive own or School vehicle for School business.

Classroom Assistant (Teaching Assistant)

Immediate, Full Time, Permanent  Position (11-Month)


  • May serve as a teaching assistant, program assistant, and/or one-to-one assistant

  • Assist with: classroom preparation, organization and instructiondata collection and record keeping

  • Escort and monitor students during the change of class

  • Behavior management and student support throughout the school day

  • Attend and participate in general staff meetings, weekly team meetings, conferences and in-services.

  • Work with students requiring individual and/or small group attention

  • Work as a team player to create a positive learning atmosphere.


  • Bachelor's Degree 

  • Some experience with special populations preferred

  • Successful completion of a drug screening and Criminal Background Check

  • Valid driver’s license with willingness to drive own vehicle or school vehicle for school business.
