About Our School

St. Elizabeth School is a co-educational, nonpublic program for elementary, middle, and high school students ages 6-21 in grades 1–12, who are referred by their local school systems.  The program prepares students for a Maryland High School Diploma or a Maryland High School Certificate of Program Completion.  

 

Students receive instruction in academics, social/emotional development, and vocational areas.  St. Elizabeth School serves students from counties across the State, including but not limited to, Anne Arundel County, Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Carroll County, Frederick County, Harford County, Howard County, Montgomery County and Queen Anne County. St. Elizabeth School also accepts the placement of students with private tuition (private pay). 

 

Students at St. Elizabeth School may be diagnosed with the following primary disabilities:

  • Autism

  • Intellectual Disabilities

  • Traumatic Brain Injury

  • Emotional Disability

  • Multiple Disabilities which may include a combination of the following secondary disabilities:

    • Orthopedic Impairment

    • Speech or Language Impairment

    • Visual Impairment

    • Hearing Impairment

    • Other Health Impairment including, but not limited to:

      • ADD and ADHD

      • Specific Learning Disability

Although this is not a comprehensive list, St. Elizabeth School has served students with many different disabilities and continues to adapt its program for new student needs. In addition to the disabilities listed above, we have served students with Down syndrome, Fragile X, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, and a wide range of others.
