ParaProfessional

Immediate, Full Time, Permanent Position

FUNCTION:​

ParaProfessional staff support teachers with the implementation of instruction aimed at helping students with special needs reach their full potential.  A Classroom Assistant may fulfill the role of a Teaching Assistant, Program Assistant or 1:1 aide.  Responsibilities include:   

  • Working with students to adapt classroom activities in a manner that supports IEP goals and objectives,

  • Helping students achieve their academic, social and behavioral goals in accordance with their FBA/BIP; 

  • Assisting students with daily life skills which may include toileting, meals, and lifting;

  • Assisting students on/off busses and escort/monitor students during class change;

  • Accurate and detailed data collection/record keeping

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

High School Diploma or higher.  Applicants must successfully pass a drug screening, criminal background check and have a valid Maryland driver’s license. 

 

NOTE:
Starting at $17/hour for candidates with a Bachelor’s degree and starting at $15/hour for candidates without a 4-year degree.
Candidates without a college degree are strongly encouraged to apply but will need to pass the PARAPRO Assessment to be considered for employment if they have earned fewer than 48 college credit hours

School Clinical Social Worker/Counselor
Immediate, Full-Time Position Available


St. Elizabeth School is a nonpublic, special education school serving students grades 1 – 12, ages 6- 21. The School is seeking a Social Worker to join our dynamic team.


FUNCTION:

Provide clinical services in a nonpublic special education school setting for students with autism and other developmental and/or psychiatric diagnoses. Responsibilities include individual/group therapy for children and adolescents and participation on an interdisciplinary team. Applicants with experience and interest in providing case management and interventions for students with autism and support for their families are encouraged to apply.


REQUIREMENTS:

Maryland State Licensure: LCSW-C or LMSW (clinical supervision provided), LGPCs and LCPCs are welcome to apply as well as successful completion of a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
