Occupational Therapy

The OT department evaluates and treats students to improve their fine motor, perceptual, and sensory processing skills, as well as their ability to perform daily living activities. The occupational therapists collaborate with other school disciplines to promote generalization of skills across all settings, including academics, vocational placements, and the community.

Our occupational therapists provide services as required by students' IEPs.
This may include performing evaluations, direct treatment, and/or consultation with the team to address the following areas as they affect school performance:

  • Fine Motor Skills

  • Visual Motor Skills

  • Functional Upper Extremity/Hand Skills

  • Fine Motor Coodination

  • Manual Dexterity

  • Bilateral Skills

  • Sensory Processing Skills

  • Activities of Daily Living (including eating, toileting, dressing, and grooming skills)

  • Functional Use of Adaptive Equipment/Strategies
