SES Awarded "Green School" Status!
MAEOE, the Maryland Association for Environmental and Outdoor Education, awarded SES Green School Status as of June, 2011 for its outstanding commitment to sustainability and environmental awareness through education. To be a Green School means to embrace a "holistic, integrated approach to authentic learning that incorporates local environmental issue investigation and professional development with environmental best management practices and community stewardship." St. Elizabeth School is one of the few nonpublic schools to achieve Green School Status. In the photo to the right, SES students celebrated this accomplishment by attending a youth summit for Green School Award recipients. SES has continuously held Green School Status since 2011.
SES Named PBIS Gold Medal School -- AGAIN!
SES has been named one of Maryland's PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) Gold Medal Schools by the Maryland State Department of Education every year since 2004! We continue to strive to create systems that embrace the values of PBIS in our school community.
