Administrative Assistant to Development Director
Part-time, 12-month position
Function:
Provide administrative support to Development Director, and all Development Office activities including fundraising special events. Maintain the development database. Answer and respond to phone calls and e-mails. Assist with general correspondence. Organize and file paperwork. Assist with preparation of bulk mailings and delivery to post office. Perform other duties as needed, and as interest, ability, and time will allow.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills mandatory. Strong organizational skills. Proficient in MS Office applications. Experience working with development software (Raiser's Edge) a plus. Ability to multitask. Ability to work with and maintain confidential information. Professional and positive attitude. Strong work ethic.
Psychiatrist
Part-time, Flexible 10-12 hourse per week, 11-month postion
Function:
Evaluate and provide medication management as needed. Population includes children with autistic spectrum disorders, psychotic and severe mood disorders, and some with physical handicaps and/or cognitive or language/learning disabilities.
Requirements:
Board eligible or Boad Certified Child Psychiatrist with a current Maryland License. Experience in treating adolescents in a psycho-educational setting who have developmental disabilties.
Transition Specialist
Full-time, 11-month position
Function:
Work in a collaborative teamwork approach to serve students in areas of transition from school to work and adult life, on-going and new work programs, community-based training, and transportation services. Serve as liaison with businesses and outside agencies involved in the transition process.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree; minimum of one year's experience in the field of Education or Human Services; proficient in grammar and writing; valid driver's license; successful review of driving record; successful completion of a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.

Special
Education Teacher
Full-time
Function:
Develop and implement academic goals and objectives
for students’ Individual Educational Plans
(IEPs). Participate in IEP meetings and manage
IEP packets prior to meetings. Select appropriate
instructional materials and strategies and plan
lessons for both small groups and individual
students. Monitor student progress, record grades
in quarterly report cards, and prepare other
written reports as necessary. Supervise two
teaching assistants and act as case manager
for approximately eight students. Must be organized
and be creative in using adaptive strategies
to meet the diverse needs of the students.
Requirements:
Must have Maryland State Department of Education
(MSDE) teacher certificate or be eligible for
certificate.
Special
Education Teacher Assistant
Full-time
Function:
Provide support to teachers and students as a teaching assistant, program assistant, or one-to-one aide.
Requirements:
Pass the ParaPro test or a minimum of 60 college credits. Experience in working with individuals with special needs is a plus.

Elizabeth School, a special education school located
in Baltimore, offers certificate and diploma programs
(grades 6-12) for students ages 11 to 21 whose
cognitive functioning is below average or in the
intellectually limited range. Students may also
be diagnosed with other learning and behavior
disorders, including emotional disturbance; autism
and pervasive developmental disorder, including
Asperger’s syndrome; traumatic brain injury;
and multiple disabilities, which may include learning
disabilities, orthopedic impairments, speech and
language impairments, and other health impairments,
