Nurse RN

Part time school nurse: Minimum of two days per week 8:00AM to 3:00PM. Possibly July Summer Program.

Function: Assist full time nurse in managing the school health office.

Requirements: Must have a Maryland State RN License. School nursing experience preferred.

Testimony: My experience as a Nurse at SES has been rewarding, challenging, and never boring.

 

Occupational Therapist

Full-time

Function: Provide direct and indirect services to students as required in IEP. Complete IEP goals and objectives. Attend IEP meetings, as needed. Maintain communication with student’s Core Team members and also with parents. Clean and maintain equipment.

Requirements: Must have Maryland State OT License.

 

Physical Therapist

Part-time

Function: Provide direct and indirect services to students as required in IEP. Complete IEP goals and objectives. Attend IEP meetings, as needed.  Maintain communication with student’s Core Team members and also with parents. Clean and maintain equipment.

Requirements: Must have Maryland State PT License.

 

Special Education Teacher

Function: Develop and implement academic goals and objectives for students’ Individual Educational Plans (IEPs).  Participate in IEP meetings and manage IEP packets prior to meetings.  Select appropriate instructional materials and strategies and plan lessons for both small groups and individual students.  Monitor student progress, record grades in quarterly report cards, and prepare other written reports as necessary.  Supervise two teaching assistants and act as case manager for approximately eight students.  Must be organized and be creative in using adaptive strategies to meet the diverse needs of the students.

Requirements: Must have Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) teacher certificate or be eligible for certificate.

 

Speech-Language Pathologist

Full-time

Function: Provide speech-language services to students as required in IEP. Complete IEP goals and objectives. Attend IEP meetings, as needed. Maintain communication with student’s Core Team members and also with parents.

Requirements: Must have Maryland State SLP License.

Testimony: I have been working at SES for ten years and cannot imagine myself working anywhere else.  In addition to really having the freedom to treat some terrific kids, professionally I have had the opportunity to learn new technologies and skills, develop curriculum, and co-treat at a horse farm and onboard both a schooner and a skipjack.

Special Education Teacher Assistant

Function: Provide support to teachers and students as a teaching assistant, program assistant, or one-to-one.

Requirements: Pass the ParaPro test or a minimum of 60 college credits to be hired by St. Elizabeth School. A minimum of a high school diploma and less then 60 credits is acceptable for a contract employee. Experience in working with individuals with special needs is a plus.
